Just starting out in the climbing and mountaineering world? Maybe you're an old hat but you want a good reference guide? In either case, you should get yourself Mountaineering, The Freedom of the Hills from the Mountaineers. In this hefty book you'll find information on just about every aspect of climbing and mountaineering.
