iSafe Backpack

While it was not really designed for hiking, the iSafe Backpack has been marketed to the outdoor public and I was asked to take a look at the backpack and consider it for outdoor use.   At the very least, I thought it was an interesting concept when I started.

Even though the backpack was originally thought of for protecting children on their way to school, I have found that the iSafe Backpack also works well as a light daypack for hikers and walkers.  The built in alarm system is probably more than most hikers need, but it can be a useful method to escape a dangerous situation or provide a way for you to alert searchers to your location.
