If you are going to Baxter State Park in Maine, you really need to get yourself a good map of the area, especially if you are planning on visiting the less popular areas of the park or if you are planning on going off-trail anywhere in the park.
You have a couple of options when it comes to the maps, including the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Baxter map that is included with their guidebook for Maine, along with this map from Delorme.
