Some might ask if people really need technical underwear to go out hiking, climbing or skiing and my answer would be that if you don’t get any other kind of “outdoor” gear, the right underwear is basically essential. I say that because you really don’t want to be out in the woods with underwear that doesn’t dry when it gets wet, on a mountain with underwear that doesn’t stretch around as you are climbing, or on a long trip with underwear that you can’t easily clean.
