The Statue of Liberty - New York, New York

The Statue of Liberty, along with Ellis Island are basically must see stops when you are visiting New York City.  The Statue of Liberty has become a symbol of our country, offers an amazing view of the New York City area and has plenty of history to offer.  Make a day out of it and visit Liberty Island where the Statue of Liberty is and also visit Ellis Island to learn how all those immigrants came to our country.

While planning a trip to the Statue is a bit more complicated nowadays thanks to security precautions, it is well worth spending the time to plan ahead and get your tickets to the island and even to be able to get into the Statue.
